Clinical Psychologist - Psychotherapist
Katarína Karaszová is a graduate of master studies in psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University Bratislava. She has been working as a psychologist and psychotherapist in clinical and counselling psychology for 17 years.
She is registered in the List of Psychotherapists of the Slovak Republic, is a holder of the European Certificate for Psychotherapy and European Certificate for Working with EMDR. She also passed specialisation examination from clinical psychology. She has been granted a licence of a professional guarantee for clinical psychology and psychotherapy as certificated operation by the Slovak Chamber of Psychologists. She focuses on personality development and mental health of individual clients, pairs, or groups in Slovakia, but also within humanitarian missions abroad, in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders.
Among her specialisations at the Clinic belong:
- Psychotherapy of adults (human-oriented approach with elements of emotion-targeted therapy, solution-aimed approach, Erikson´s hypnotherapy, autogenous training)
- Treatment of traumatised clients (people who survived or are going through acute or chronic stress circumstances of a harming character) with utilisation of stabilisation technique and EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing; processing of traumatic experience by help of bilateral stimulation)
- Therapy of clients with neurotic, somatoform and stress disorders, also with food-intake and personality failures
- Training therapy - she is a therapist of the ISTER Institute Bratislava; human-oriented approach
- EMDR supervision - she is one of the supervisors registered in the Slovak Institute for Psychotraumatology and EMDR
- Pair therapy
She works also in English language, which she speaks and writes fluently.
